Real Myst Masterpiece and GTX590

FPS seems a little low. Looks as if it's running on only 1 processor on the GTX590 graphics card. Have Nvidia driver 331.something driver. Have Sabertooth p67, i7 2600k and 16gb ram.

Based on your specs, you should be able to play the game fine, but I rather doubt that you will be able to on maximum settings. Have you tried adjusting the graphics settings? What do you mean exactly by low frame rates? Also, which version do you have: The GOG or Steam version?

Also, there appear to be newer drivers available. I'd suggest trying to update them as well.

Have the GOG version. Have all settings on high except vsync is off. Am dipping into the 30s frame rate wise. The gtx590 has two processors and only one is being used, the other is idling.

For the video card, I know when it comes to CPUs, Unity is not the best engine for multi-core performance (it actually sucks at it). It may be the same for GPUs as well, although I don't know for certain. Unity 5 is supposedly better at this, but I have no idea if Cyan has any plans to update the engine. My guess would be no.

I would still suggest updating your drivers, and playing with your settings if the framerate really isn't good enough for you.

Unity's a pretty horrible engine for a number of reasons, one of which is it's poor hardware optimization.
I suggest turning off SSAO first, it really eats resources.

I think you're right Twitch. I think Unity ruined Myst ME's performance. In afterburner I can see that both my CPU and GPU are nowhere near maxed out and still the fps is horrible on Myst island. Fortunately Obduction is Unreal Engine 4.

Unity works fine in simple 2D sidescrollers, but every 3D game I played with above average graphics had something wrong with it. Microstuttery movement, horrible screentearing that couldn't be fixed, high cpu load. :(

Running Real Myst Masterpiece much better now that I upgraded the gtx590 to a GTX 980. Also Bought a LG 29" monitor (29UM58 2560 x 1080) Ready for Obduction. Is it June yet?
