What's next for Cyan?

Anyone have any ideas/guess's as for what Cyan is working on next?

After that, finalizing the Mac version. After that, looking at other platforms, perhaps consoles.

In the Mysterium chat, Rand Miller specifically said that they hadn't had the breathing room to start designing a new game. (And if they do, you'll probably hear about it in a press release, not this forum.)

Uh I see, thanks for the info. I did not watch all of the Rand Mysterium interview.

That's not entirely true. Rand hinted that Cyan has interest in potentially rebooting Uru, or doing something similar when the time is right. He also mentioned doing VR-exclusive games.

Also, Robyn Miller mentioned in his latest audio interview that him and Rand have been working on some new things together for the first time in nearly 20 years. Two days ago Robyn posted these artworks to twitter: SKETCH 1 SKETCH 2

So make of that what you will, I'm sure Cyan has plans for other games already envisioned. Rand is very creative.

Cyan would have to become amazingly successful again before they'd be able to even think about Uru.

My guess is that after they've fixed all the bugs in Obduction, they'd create another world for it and re-release it the way they did with realMyst.

Back during the Kickstarter Rand had expressed some interest in continuing the Obduction story, but who knows. That'll greatly depend on how well the game does.
