best PC for living room?

Postby gimlet » Sun Nov 10, 2013 11:24 am

I'm looking to move from my "office" into my living room, and play my collection of Myst and Uru games on my HDMI screen. So that means that I will need a new micro box that has a wireless keyboard and mouse, wireless ethernet, HDMI output for audio and video, as well as a decent HD to store my games on. My question is this: what is more needed to get e.g. Revelation to render each scene change faster? RAM? CPU speed? Graphics speed? graphics memory? What should I optimize? I'm not really interested in FPS games that demand dual graphics boards etc., being a geezer :)

BTW - why can I not post a new topic to http://mystonline.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=40 ? And why does it keep telling me that I have exceeded my login attempts and then demand a human test? I've cleared cookies ...
