So.. Unless I got this wrong (which is entirely possible) something is supposed to happen on monday evening when that counter will reach zero. Right?

No worries. What's the saying again.. "the rock cutter is patient"? That's probably true for obductees as well. :p
Beside I'm sure we're all still getting some much deserved rest after the holidays anyway. :)

I am guessing you are talking about the hiredark website? I like reading about those of you doing the ARG and what is going on. But can someone tell me why when I retrace the steps you take and today I look at Hiredark (less then 24 hours to go). I can not get the countdown to be less then 24 hours......my calculations seem to be wrong and this is based on 86,400,000 milliseconds in 1 day. Number on the site is counting down from 1445233872 (and I took a screenshot for those who don't believe me).

Try http://thing.hiredark.com. Note: the 'thing' can be anything you like.

Interesting, the only thing I can detect different in the source code, barring whitespace and minor id/classname changes, is that the subdomain code contains none of the practically unused rocketscript stuff. However the result is obvious that the countdowns are different. I wonder if there is a bug in the rocketscript library they were/are using.

I just took a look at that webpage on Monday at about 04:30 KI time.
It seems to be working all right and counting properly.
The count is at about 10 1/2 hours, so at 15:00 KI time the counter will come to zero.

I think the counter problem may be a browser issue. Using chrome on my windows 8 machine, the counter at hiredark.com is up around 5 days, but www.hiredark.com and whatever.hiredark.com are correctly counting down to this evening. All three versions display the correct number when viewed with IE.

For me, the countdown only disappears on the www.hiredark.com version, and only in chrome, not IE. I'm inclined to think it's another idiosyncrasy, not a feature.

I don't think http://hiredark.com/forums/ is anything special because I get the page without a counter for anything that I type in, e.g. http://hiredark.com/wqfwfjaofjwvz/

Please forgive my ignorance, but how is hiredark.com counting down to this evening? Loading the website now, it says '6051675646'. From a quick glance, this means 6051675 seconds - about 10 weeks. What's with that?

Ninja edit: I just tried it in a different browser, and it is showing a more reasonable time. For whatever reason, my browser resets it to the original time on each reload.

I had the same problem, but after I cleaned my browser cookies it was okay.
