So like many of you I've beaten Myst countless times and at this point could do it with my eyes closed. Every now and then it is fun to go back and explore the ages and enjoy the tranquility atmosphere each creates. I noticed a small glitch on the mechanical age and wanted to see if anyone else has this problem. As most of us know the 4 sounds that equate to directions that you learn from the fortress rotation simulator play a crucial role in navigating the maze on the selentic age.
Problem is the east sound (sounds like a spring) and the west sound (sounds like a strange frog ribbit) are backwards. On the simulator east sounds like the frog ribbit and west sounds like the spring. This would be no big deal but in the selentic age the maze still uses the traditional direction sounds for east and west.
So if you've never played the game before you are going to be pulling out your hair in the maze when it plays a frog ribbit sound and you think you are supposed to go east when in actuality you need to be going west. I imagine this would be an easy fix just wanted to see if anyone else notices this.
