Putting Things Back

After playing the game several times, I embarked upon a quest: returning all (or as many as possible) seed swappers to their "native" environments. I have the wooden rotatable "dome" back in Hunrath, also the scrap yard is now all scrap, no Maray dome, Farley's vault is again accessible, as is the through path for the mine cart around the open-door house in downtown Hunrath, etc. One I couldn't manage is the seed machine in Kaptar that swaps with the one in Maray at the Villein control panel... can't leave by any other means. There is no longer a seed machine in Soria... it's back in Hunrath. Cool beans... neat that it could (mostly) all be done.

Just a little extra fun.

I like that idea. Very environmentally friendly! ;)

When I was using the swap machines, I couldn't help but think of how many non-native bacteria, seeds, plants, etc. I was potentially introducing.

Even on my first play through I got the feeling that I wanted to do this, however I never found the time to do it. It's cool that someone did, and reported now completely it could be done.

I actually suspected that I would need to do it at some point. When presented with several ways of traveling, I would always prefer ones that would end with spheres in their original location.

I also wondered if it was a necessary thing, so I did it. Not necessary.

I had also hoped I'd get a special hidden achievement for doing it. No achievement.

I still restore all the game allows during each play through.

Exactly the same message for me, exept I wasn't looking for an achievement (but it might have been welcomed), but for a (kind of) different ending. No (kind of) different ending. :|

You don't use the Seed machine to return, you use the tree paths instead.

Um... yeah. Depending on the result you want. In my case, I wanted the Seed machine gone from Soria, so I took it back to Hunrath, then to verify it was indeed gone, I used the Hunrath->Soria tree path to verify that it wasn't there any more. (That was just one example of my results in trying to put all the seed machines into their "native environments.")
