Difference between regular and Limited Edition

Postby Seff » Wed Jul 29, 2015 12:18 pm

I'd like to know this so I don't end up buying an unplayable game. What's different about the Limited Edition of Myst V that makes it incompatible with Conexant audio drivers? (I have the regular version on Steam already.)

As far as I know the only difference was the inclusion of "stuff". If I remember right, there was a limited edition lithograph, the soundtrack, and a history of Myst DVD. Plus, you know, an extra cool box.
Other than that, the game should be the same.

Too bad all that extra content can't be put into the GOG release...

Wasn't the Limited Edition the only way you could get a Mac version?

According to Wikipedia, you're right. That's really really strange. I don't understand why it would have been done that way.
I guess that explains why GOG only sells the Limited edition, even when there's nothing "Limited" about it.

Hmm the Mac version at the time appears to be only for PowerPC so will not run on any Macs running an OS newer then X.6.
