Rolep

Postby astromjr9 » Wed May 22, 2019 3:17 pm

I have passed the Roplep test and made my way to the metal tree. The fancy gadget with the blue stone ball that looks like a planet and a button to push turns on the sky lights inside the cavern that goes from dawn to dark. Inside the tree is a center light and a blue button next to the wall that turns the sky lights out inside the cavern. I also touched the shell cloth.
# 4:81 --The future is always revealed to those who wait
#4:96 -- Rest in the light

Do these also apply to the tree? I've rested 15 minutes in the light in the center of the tree and again in Rolep but the future hasn't revealed anything to me yet. Does the 15 minute wait period still work here somewhere??

walking

Postby astromjr9 » Mon May 27, 2019 7:13 pm

A little walk. I turned the sky light off inside the tree and walked across the walkway to the machine that turns on the sky light. I also dropped down behind the clock and out to the room with the hologram. Then link back to the tree. Then I did the same trek back the other way. I haven't walked outside of Rolep. Is that a "little walk" enough?

Stay inside the tree. Can you see a marked path?

tree

The yellow brick road? Really?? Works like a champ. I also gained the last MYST book. Looks like I need to rotate the room to exit out according to the map on the wall. I can tap on the lower door to make indentations. First thing that comes to mind is the hologram image in the cavern. I tried placing the dents where the stones would be and I tried denting out the whole pattern. But there are at least 3 other patterns too. Is the one in Rolep the I concentrate on, yes?

If you ever played Myst, you should know how that fireplace works. Input the pattern, press the button, and something happens. Did anything happen when you entered the code? If not, then you got the wrong code.

And no, don't just concentrate on the pattern in Rolep. As you said, there are others. Cyan doesn't put things there for no purpose.

fireplace code

Postby astromjr9 » Sat Jun 08, 2019 8:02 pm

I have 5 different codes. According to the map on the wall the room needs to rotate 5 times in order to exit the room. I watch the stone wall in the room each time I put in a code and I know the room hasn't rotated yet. Is there more than 5? I photographed them as I found them thinking I may need to put the codes in a chronological order and I tried that too. How accurate do you need to be with the codes? Each code has either 3 or 4 stones so I disregard the design around the stones and just input the stone code. Am I on the right track??

I don't know what you mean by rotating the room 5 times...

However, you have all the codes and information you need to solve this. You definitely need to put them in. There should be a 1:1 correlation to the number of squares on the codes and the number of squares on the panel. In order to solve this you need to combine everything you know.
