Could this spelling be a deliberate hint, a reference to Keith Lord?

Note the time. kf6kjg said that the web site was counting down to 22:00:00 GMT, which was the time of the rocket launch rounded to the nearest hour.

Interesting! Sorry I missed it, though. I do loves me some rocket launches. ;-)

Now I don't mean to spoil the party but the SpaceX Thaicom launch was rescheduled for then. Please see this article..

Occasionally I read the spaceflight website. Unless Cyan has insider info.....I think it's just a big coincidence...but interesting nonetheless.

Thanks for the update Ryan! Sounds like you guys are keeping busy, even though Obduction hasn't began production yet. Just know, everyone at Cyan has this Trek lover's full support behind their efforts. :)

I'm grateful for GD's apology but can't help but feel that Cyan maybe missed a trick there... I mean, if it weren't for Greydragon's post, what would there be to say that the expiry of the counter didn't do something - just something that happened in a place no-one was looking (we only assume that we knew all the places to look after all, and there could arguably have been some part of the ARG that we never fully solved). For all we know, maybe it rang a bell in the Cyan office to remind them that lunchtime was over ;)

As RAWA has said, there are still things undiscovered from their games. He's content to never reveal those things if no one ever finds them.

"For all we know", isn't that still the case? Maybe I read Ryan's post wrong but it sounded to me that since he isn't/didn't want to be in the loop on these things, he was also just assuming nothing else had happened.
I was expecting it to just coincide with the Backer Forum's opening. Can't say I mind the stalling, would've missed all the fun anyway. So stall away 'till I'm 'done' with life Cyan! ;)

So, this could be me grasping at straws here, but I was looking up the spheres youtube video (where the QR for hiredark came from) and discovered that the mystery poster "Chester C" sounds an awful lot like "Chester See" an apparently popular musician I'd never heard of before. Do you suppose there is any connection? Does one of the musician's songs, for example, involve spheres, space, the Whitman poem, or any of the literary quotes from the kickstarter?

I don't remember if anything like this has been tested before, but this is what I tried with the "The Gap Ad" webpage...

URL = http://cho.cyan.com/MayonnaiseJar/Contents.html

[Reveal] Spoiler:
Source code =
Code: Select all
<html> <head>
<title>The Gap Ad</title>
</head>
<BODY TEXT="#7D8683" BGCOLOR="#000000" LINK="#996633" ALINK="#9F2714" VLINK="#514430">

<H1>The Gap Ad</H1>
<BR>
<H4>This was a black and white ad campaign by The Gap that ran in major magazines
(I think such as Time and Newsweek, but I can't remember). Something about famous people and what
they work in.</H4><FONT SIZE="-1">BTW, can you still get Gap Khakis for $29?</FONT>
<BR>
<IMG SRC="TheGapAd.jpg">
</body>
</html>

RgbColors names = cold_grey, black, brick, firebrick and olive.

IMG copy = TheGapAd0

It's a black and white picture...
So, to add some colors, I Selected the "Red", "Green" and "Blue" channels, I increased their saturation and I decreased their brightness.

Resulting IMG 1 = TheGapAd1

I used the number "29" ($29) for ColorSelectionTolerance while I selected the "brick, firebrick and olive" colors of the resulting IMG 1 and then I removed the rest from the IMG.

Resulting IMG 2 = TheGapAd2

Finally, I keeped the white color and I changed the others to black.

Resulting IMG 3 = TheGapAd3

I don't know at all how the QR (or VR?) codes works but maybe you, you know...
So, do you know if there's any of those kinds of codes in the resulting IMG 3?

PS: The 4 images are hosted on my Cloud.

Also, feel free to use any idea from this folder for MO:UL (currently 1 idea).

To me that looks like the typical macro-block artifacts one gets with JPEG images.
